Greetings, technology authors and contributors!
I deeply appreciate your willingness to share your ideas and efforts with the rest of the choral community through this joint venture. I hope to incorporate everyone who replied to my call for articles.
I have a couple of guiding thoughts concerning this special edition of the choral journal:
1. Collaboration: I want this to be a collaborative effort among all of us. Many of you responded with similar ideas about articles. I grouped those people and designated a leader. (see google document) I would like you to work together in pooling your ideas and delegating tasks/subject areas. As "special focus editor" I'd like you to contact me if there is any problem, but I anticipate peace and harmony.
2. Deadlines: As I've put more thought about timelines, I've set a new deadline of August 15 for finishing your article. (I had told some of you July 31) I would like for you to work hard over the next eight weeks to complete your task so that we can be done with this project before school begins. Some extension would be considered, but August 15 is the goal.
3. Previous articles: I've written a couple of articles over the last few years that deal with technology. I list them here - not as models, but resources. I covered a few things that some of you mentioned (Facebook, cloud resources, etc.). I don't think you need to stay away from those topics, but you definitely want to build and enhance what I have already put forward:

4. Reporting: I'd like you to send me a weekly report on your progress on Sunday evening beginning (or before) July 10. I'll work to report to everyone else on Monday of each week, starting next Monday (June 27) if I have anything to report.

6. You may find it beneficial to read over everyone's opening email to me. It will give you a sense of where the special issue is going. (i think i got most of the emails in there - will check for sure later)
